Source of raw materials
Pavlovskoye deposit of brown coal is one of the biggest in the world as to Germanium reserves. It can be exploited for several decades.
Coal and aleurolite here have high content of Germanium – from 300 to 1 000 g/mt of dry weight.
At present time in open-pit mine “Spetsugli” about 30 000 mt per year is extracted. Proportionally to development of processing capacities production of coal and aleurolites will be increased up to 100 000 mt per year.
Open-cut mine can provide enough raw materials for production of up to 21 mt of Germanium per year (in various products and forms).
